As
an FBI special agent Ty Duncan was captured and turned into a vampire
against his will. He hates being a vampire! He was recruited to work
for the super secret Belladonna Agency and his task now is to
persuade Ana Marin to work for the agency. In front of Ana he
dangles the one key which might persuade her to join Belladonna –
to find her long lost sister Gloria. Belladonna wants agents to
infiltrate a secret group which masquerades as an aid organization to
assist new Spanish speaking immigrants to the US. Their secret
agenda is turning humans in to vampires. According to vampire laws,
it is illegal to turn humans into vampires but there are rogues
vampires who are doing just that.
Ana
Martin is a former gang member who has spent time in prison but has
become a coffee shop owner since her release. She has become a very
independent, strong woman. She has never forgotten or given up hope
of finding her sister Gloria. When she meets Ty there is an instant
attraction but he believes she could never want him once she knows he
is a vampire.

This
is the first book in Virna DePaul's new series Belladonna and I am
looking forward to the next book. I enjoyed reading the interactions
between Ty and Ana. Their relationship was not without problems as
they began to know each other. The sex was hot!
